Acquired
Brain Injury (ABI)
Living well after a brain injury takes time, patience and the right people around you. Mediline provides consistent support for people with acquired brain injuries – built around each individual’s specific needs, pace and goals, not around a system or a schedule.

How We Make a Difference
For people living with an acquired brain injury, unpredictability is not just inconvenient, it can be genuinely destabilising.
Unfamiliar faces, changes in routine or support that doesn’t account for how a brain injury affects everyday functioning can create anxiety, frustration and setbacks that undo real progress.
At Mediline, we take the time to understand each person’s specific situation – how their injury affects them day to day, what triggers distress, what supports confidence and what they want to achieve over time. Our teams are consistent, trained to work with ABI, and patient enough to understand that recovery and adaptation is rarely linear. We do not rush people or define them by their diagnosis. We focus on what helps each person feel safe, settled and able to move forward.
How We Support
We support people across the full range of acquired brain injury, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, hypoxic brain injury and other non-traumatic causes.
Support is always individually shaped and may include help with daily routines and personal care, communication and cognitive support, managing fatigue and sensory sensitivities, rebuilding practical life skills, and supporting community access and social connection.
We work closely with families, neurological rehabilitation teams, social workers and other health professionals to ensure support is joined up and responsive. When needs change, as they often do in the months and years following an ABI, our teams adapt calmly, without creating unnecessary disruption to the person’s life.
